About Moment & Co
Moment & Co is an online shop for themed party supplies and decorations. We sit happily between pricey custom party planners and generic big-box supplies, and we talk to our customers the way one mom talks to another: warm, fun, and genuinely excited about a good party.
About the Role
We're looking for someone to be the friendly, familiar face of Moment & Co inside relevant Facebook groups: party-planning groups, mom groups, and similar communities where our ideal customers already gather. You'll spend your days reading what members post and jumping in with genuinely helpful, warm engagement, be it party planning tips, theme ideas, decoration inspiration, or thoughtful compliments on the parties they share.
This is not a sales role. You won't be aggressively pushing products or dropping links. The goal is presence and trust. In other words, getting group members used to seeing Moment & Co show up, add real value, and feel like a helpful part of the community for all things party.
What You'll Do
- Monitor our list of active Facebook groups every day, reading through posts to find the ones worth engaging with.
- React to relevant posts (e.g., party setups, planning questions, DIY shares) to cultivate a warm, consistent presence.
- Comment with genuine value. Answer questions with real ideas, offer inspiration, and compliment members' party setups in a way that invites conversation.
- Speak as Moment & Co in our brand voice.
- Respect each group's rules on self-promotion to avoid restrictions or bans.
- Prospect and curate the group list. Vet a few new candidate groups each week, join those that fit, and help keep the portfolio to a healthy set of high-quality groups. This also entails pruning groups that are no longer worth engaging in.
- Keep records of weekly activity so we can track engagement and results over time.
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Hands-on experience doing social media work on major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or even Twitter/X and Reddit).
- Excellent, natural written English in a casual, conversational register.
- Familiarity with AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT.
- Strong judgment and social awareness. Reading a post, gauging the room, and knowing what's genuinely helpful versus what reads as promotional.
- Familiarity with Facebook group norms, etiquette, and how group rules work.
- Self-directed and reliable. This role depends on showing up consistently every day.
- Comfortable keeping simple activity records (basic spreadsheet/tracking).
Daily Benchmarks
These are guide rails, not checkboxes. We care about genuine engagement, not hitting a number. We would always rather have fewer excellent comments than a pile of filler. Quality always comes first.
- ~75 reactions/day on relevant posts
- ~30 comments/day of real, substantive engagement
Using AI in This Role
We encourage using AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT to draft comment options. However, every comment must be personalized and rewritten in your own words to fit our brand voice before it goes out. Raw AI output tends to sound canned, generic, or a little too polished, and members and group admins can spot it.
What Great Looks Like
The single most important skill in this role is writing comments that prove a real person looked and cared. A great comment highlights a specific detail and, wherever possible, invites the poster or others to reply.
- ✅ "I love the banner! Was this DIY?"
- ✅ "Adorable! How long did that centerpiece take you?"
- ❌ "Love it!"
- ❌ "So cute!"
Success Looks Like
- Within 6 months: Our account earns a recognized contributor badge (such as Top Contributor) in at least one group. This is Facebook's own signal that we're showing up consistently and adding real valuee.
- Within 12 months: At least one direct sale from Facebook to our website, attributed as such in Shopify. This is proof that the trust we've built is beginning to convert.
