Maren Baxter and My Mind’s Eye teamed up on this lighted Christmas village, and it’s the rare paper decoration that reads as a collectible instead of a craft project. The set of 3 Christmas village houses includes a toy store, a bookstore, and a bakery, each drawn in gold foil on deep green paperboard with lit windows full of tiny cakes, toy trains, and holiday book spines. One strand of fairy lights threads through all three shops and runs on a 6 hour timer, so the whole street glows on its own every evening. Line them up on the Christmas mantel, tuck them into a basket of greenery as a holiday centerpiece, or set them out as a Christmas village display for the kids to hunt for details in. It ships in a heavyweight keepsake box, which makes it an easy Christmas gift and an easier thing to store until next December.
